temperature resistant products, troubleshooting process and manufacturing
issues in both batch and continuous systems, scale-up and pilot plant
manufacturing, test method development to simulate actual manufacturing
conditions, streamlining production operations, custom synthesis, sourcing
and coordination of custom toll manufacturing, establishing quality systems
and product field testing. Focusing on automotive, consumer, industrial
and healthcare applications.

Custom formulating in silane and
silicone chemistry products areas including: sealants, adhesives, silane
adhesion promoters, coatings, siloxane fluids and polymers, low compression
set rubber gasketing, heat cured rubber, treated fumed silicas, crosslinkers,
thixotropes, encapsulants, thixotropic and self-leveling mold-making
compounds, construction caulking, high tear rubber,
automotive fluid resistant gasketing, silicone testing technology,
both condensation and addition cured one and two-part RTV's,
high performance elastomers, adhesion to unique substrates, and customized
product rheology.
David M. Brassard is an international consulting chemist specializing
in silicone technology. He has spent over thirty years in the silicone
industry, addressing all phases of research, development, marketing,
processing, manufacturing, quality and customer applications. His new
technologies and specialty applications can be found around the world.
Mr. Brassard is a recognized expert
in general silicones, high performance silicone adhesives, sealants,
polymers, RTV’s, and heat cured rubber. The scope of his activities
includes: custom formulating, seminars, customer applications, process
troubleshooting and establishing test methods. His main focus is on the
consumer, automotive, and industrial markets. Property enhancement capabilities
include: high temperature, adhesion to unusual substrates, high strength,
low compression set, rheology modification, and very fast cure speeds.
His work history includes being the Section
Head of Automotive Silicone Product Development for Loctite leading
a staff of eight within the R&D
effort. Prior positions at Loctite included: Process Chemist, Product
Development Chemist and Senior Chemist. At General Electric Silicones
his hands-on experience in quality, processing and manufacturing functions
include working with: silanes, greases, silica's, 1 & 2 part RTV’s,
polymerization and custom synthesis. Additionally he was Technical Director
for May National and Director of R&D for Dexus Laboratories.
Dave
holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Regents College at The University
of the State of New York, Albany. He is a member of American Chemical
Society, Association of Consulting Chemists and Chemical Engineers,
Consulting Chemists Network.

and international conferences in the area silicone technology have been
offered. Patents have been issued in silicone specialty areas.
